Buggy Sonar Behavior
- Radar jammers also jam sonar against surface ships and hovercraft, but sonar can still detect amphs and subs.
- Hovercraft show up on sonar.
Cloaking Ships
I (Evil4Zerggin) recently enabled cloaking on the Arm Jammer ship. At the same time I gave ships seismic signatures. This is because of the previously described sonar behavior: without a seismic signature, cloaked ships are undetectable except through decloak radius. Obviously this is not the ideal solution. Some possible options:
- Current (r1359) setup: Ships have seismic signatures.
- Remove ship seismic signatures, and let sea cloak be difficult to break.
- Remove ship seismic signatures and sea cloak.
- Merge seismic detectors with sonar, keep ship seismic signatures.
