quantum: Looks awesome. How's performance? Does LUPS work now on every computer?
jk: performance is dreadful. but i am working on it (atm it spams simply 3x more particles (+rotation) than the engine would do) :)
Also the shown effect doesn't work on all computers (it uses the SimpleParticles? class -> needs working glsl shaders), but i will add multiple effects, some of them don't need shaders.
Saktoth: Lets go for something with -better- performance, not worse performance. I vote lups, when its fixed.
Licho: well if lups can provide higher performance.. Lups fire on burning units is terribly slow and thats reason why the effect is not included atm.
Licho: btw I dont like the look of the lups effect. Looks like random cloud instead of flying nanobots :)
Saktoth: do you understand what a nanobot is, licho? And exactly how small it is? o_O
SirMaverick: The red cubes are too big for nano bots. I'd prefer LUPS if they perform better than the current ones.
jK: most code is done, I only need to adjust the effect to the different nano types (building,reclaiming,terra(,capture)) and also a backup solution for gfx w/o shaders (a simple laser) needs be written. and btw lups is now twice as fast as the engine ;)
