Poll: Improve air handling

Using the air handling tags, i can dramatically increase the handling of bombers etc. This may lead to some weirdness in the movement AI but hopefully it can be avoided.

Do we want to do this? It may make air more interesting and engaging to micro.

Try the Flea and Laser Area bomber (armpnix2 and 3) for examples of how tight we can make our air handle.

I'm worried that this won't actually add anything to air. We may end up nerfing bombers due to new micro with the only outcome being more pointless micro. Worth a try though.

Its not more controllable, it just makes sharper turns. But the annoying moments where it refuses to respond happens still. I dont like it much because bomber turning in place looks unnatural.

Don't we all already know that realism isn't an argument?

Natural feel != realism.

Its matching the game general expectations of players.

They expect tank to have more HP than small infrantry kbots.

They expect ships to move in water and move slower than aircrafts.

And they dont expects aircrafts to turn on pinhead.

"Natural" feel, meaning "what players expect" is much more important than realism.

Here are the effects as I see them:

• Bombers will require much more micro. They will have to be balanced with the extra control in mind.
• The point of no return for a bomber strike will be much closer to enemy AA.
• It will be easier to stop bombers from doing stupid things.

The only point I really like is the last one.
