It is standardised. 2 for everything, 0 for emp. There are some random values but they're no longer used.

What is a "Double death explosion deformation"?

It means that death explosion deforms land twice as much as before. More deformation on epic battlefields ftw

Deformations are annoying. I still want to implement "self-d a constructor to cause a restore explosion" for quick restoration. It would help combat wallbuilders and cloggers.

Edit to my previous comment, I said deformations are annoying but it came off wrong, I love them. But they are hard to combat at times.

Imo weapons should be main source of deformations, not self-d. Big self-d do already enough deformation.

Hmm, it was my understanding of the poll that deformation was going to be doubled for death explosion in general, not just self-d.

don't deformations eat up cpu? i recall a ffa game i had where mk backstabbed me and a few others with nukes, and then some more nukes. The game was running fine up until the point where the ground was completely changed, and I had 3 fps. It became unplayable :/

I don't think we are talking about giving every unit death a nuke-size deformation. Already the deformation for weapons was doubled with (at least for me) no noticeable cpu usage increase. At least it is worth some tests.

There will be no extra CPU increase with doubling deformation(crateMmult) of already present death explosions.

Firstly I'm saying that deformation is fun as once there's been a big enough battle the terrain will change. The issue is very few weapons have deformation, this is due to very few weapons having AOE. ImpactOnly? removes deformation and fixes a lot of bugs.

The alternative to extra deformation on weapons is extra deformation on unit deaths, there's no extra CPU use that say giving a laser deformation would use.

I don't know about this, the cratering from exploding buildings is already pretty big... (unless we decide to have one value for mobiles and another for buildings)
