"work on getting CA out the proverbial door" -- I'm not sure how balance commits would affect this anyway. What needs to be done to get CA out the door? models? Making small balance changes doesn't prevent people from making models imo. Changing the lua takes just moments to do.

Im about the only person who works on both balance and models. Licho is about the only person who works on GUI and balance (Google also works with LUA but mostly not gui related).

So you can say 'Should Saktoth stop testing/playing/proposing and just get on with remodelling junk?' to which i will say 'aww alright'.

It seems to me that when a balance issue is called for, it gets addressed. No new units are being added so there's no waste of dev time on major balancing. Only existing units which break the game need addressing, as balance issues crop up from time to time when people experiment new things.
