I'm no balancer but I've come to see the downfall of these options (I was all for them at first, evil4zerggin made them at the request of Regret no less). The tiniest damage nerf/buff to all weapons means certain unit-unit dynamics change while others don't, and balance is completely thrown off. Same goes for speedmult.

Licho, there's only one way to make the game more epic and easier for the newbies: hit the minus button.

(edit to above - "easier for newbies without touching balance")

That's a problem area. Relative unit balance doesn't just scale with speed and damage. We could try slowing the game down but it would take a lot of rebalancing. We could probably achieve a slowdown just by slowing down and rebalancing raiders, imo the game is too raider centric currently.

Well not using your method. I'd like to try slowing raiders down which is one of the fastest parts of the game.

After all this time, NOW he wants to slow the game down.

I agree with google, slow down raiders. It makes the game slower and nerfs a very strong unit set.

I dont want to slow it down, i wanted to try it to see if it feels any better...

An di dont think we should slow down raiders. They are not OP. It would mean improving their other attributes and this would reduce RPS effects..

Changing damagemult from 1.0 to 0.9 can mean the difference between a Janus killing something in one shot or two, which is a huge nerf to Janus. The only way to experiment is to modify the units at their stats.
