As pretty as these effects are, it does crash Vista, and now there are reports of it killing your framerate.

Perhaps we should consider disabling it as default until some of the errors are ironed it.

    don't see a reason for it
    Nobody would activate it, if it isn't turned on by default.

    Alsp ppl with low fps can deactivate it and ppl with vista got a warning message.
    (btw i still didn't got a crash report of vista users, also clumsy said that it doesn't crash him anymore)

      Spring crashes here whenever LUPS is used (for instance when building). Took me a while to figure out which option to uncheck in the settings...
